I had a GE that I really liked the looks of, but it didn’t keep the hot and the clock didn’t keep time accurately. Then it was recalled for a potential fire hazard! I needed a new pot right away, and looked to Amazon to provide me with good choices and reviews. I’ve never owned a Beach before, but the model was very nice looking and would go well with my appliances. The consumer reviews sounded excellent with many saying it was easy to use and kept the hot. I ordered one and received it in two days via my Prime account.

We bought this one when I cracked the pot on our Old Reliable Mr. . Despite the poor reviews here. We had read some really great reviews too, so let me break down the arguments.

It will leak when overfilled. All pots will.

It brews much hotter than our old pot.

It does take about 3-5 minutes to brew a full 12 cup cycle. I have read the slower the brew the better the flavor, but I’m an impatient sort.

The permanent filter is different than standard Krups models. Look for the product name on the filter box.

My brother has owned this for a couple years and LOVES it. His has a timer to autostart, which this model does not, but since I only make on rare occasions when we have guests, this works great for us. I do wish it stayed on longer… I did not expect it to shut off at all… but that makes sense… Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Well, I too was looking at, what kind of filter for the purchase of new to this car, because I hate the filter paper.

I had this company since December '09 and March '10 now seems to work well (it hurt when I woke up this morning and broke, because I thought his writing). I like hot food features you can set the temperature, I do not want my burn, why buy expensive shit and I'm a big snob. I love the timerFunction as I think two hours is sufficient, because they share the oil after 1 hour session … so after two hours when I finished with my , then there is the problem.

      The coffee seems smooth and was much appreciated, but in my opinion, there are two major flaws. First water flows into a stream, instead of multiple spray heads and all the flavor does not come out because a small portion of coffee is used.

      I had my Zojirushi for a week and now have only one complaint. I like the cover must be a bit 'safer decanter, otherwise it is a great product.
